Care Handling grew from something we saw repeatedly across health and social care: moving and handling can become a box-ticking exercise when, in reality, it has a direct effect on the safety, dignity and wellbeing of both staff and the people they support.

We are a UK-wide moving and handling training specialist working with care homes, nursing homes, domiciliary care providers, supported-living services and other care organisations.

Years of face-to-face training in real care environments have shown us what staff remember, what they struggle with and what genuinely improves practice. Care Handling is built around that experience.

Our training is practical rather than generic. We focus on the situations staff encounter every day: assessing the task, communicating with the person being supported, selecting and using appropriate equipment, following the individual’s care plan and working within local procedures.

We understand the pressures care providers face — staffing gaps, inspection deadlines, high turnover and limited time away from the floor. That is why we bring the training to you and, where required, can also provide selected equipment for practical sessions.

Whether you need training for new starters, refresher training, equipment familiarisation or support developing your own internal trainers, our aim is the same: practical learning that makes sense in the workplace and helps people provide safer, more dignified support.
